An Appeal for Help from York MinstermenBy Ian Tyssen, Wednesday 30 December 2009York Minstermen are currently working on our series of fundraising event and activities for 2010 and are hoping to receive support from the local business community.
Our plans include ...
- Spring Raffle (Launch in March, Draw in May)
- York City Fans' Darts Tournament (29th May)
- City Centre Treasure Hunt (April - September)
- Bootham Crescent Beer Festival (25th-27th June)
- York City Open Day (1st August)
There will also be many other events and activities throughout the year, including our monthly Quiz Nights in the York City FC Social Club and special events to coincide with the 2010 World Cup Finals in the summer.
We are appealing for items to be used as prizes for these events and activities (or as raffle prizes at the events). For example, a meal voucher from a local pub, cafe or restaurant would be an excellent prize. In return, we will offer as much exposure as possible for the donor.
